What's new.
Just launched - Overdrive, is a new ebook service featuring fiction and non-fiction ebooks and audiobooks.
Andy McNab thrilled workers at McVitie's Manchester on 31st October when he visited them to celebrate their Learn 4 U Centre's success in winning the prize draw for workplaces participating in the Six Book Challenge. "McVitie's have been fantastic supporters of the Six Book Challenge together with Stockport Council's library services," says The Reading Agency's adult literacy specialist Genevieve Clarke.
As part of Time to ReadŐs Reading Places promotion meet Fran Sandham author of 'Traversa: A solo walk across Africa from the Skeleton Coast to the Indian Ocean' at Bredbury Library, Wednesday 7th December 6.30 pm-7.30 pm.
There are plans for National Libraries Day on February 4th 2012, check the library website for details, and look out for a special event featuring Helen Walsh, Michael Stewart and MJ Hyland, part of Time to Read's Here and Now promotion.

Librarians in the North West have pioneered partnership working to encourage new readers into libraries. Time To Read is a partnership of librarians engaged in reader development activity in public library authorities in the North West Region. All 23 public library authorities in the region currently support Time To Read.
