There have been a lot of changes recently in Tameside libraries. Opening hours have been revised taking into account customer demand for later opening and all Tameside Libraries have recently been or are about to be refurbished so that all have a contemporary appearance with more space, comfortable seating areas and Quick Choice display.
We continue to organise a varied range of activities for all age ranges, including author visits, storytimes, quizzes and coffee mornings. During Adult Learners Week demonstrations of activities such as belly dancing, baby massage and card making are always very popular and weekly 'time for a rhyme' sessions for parents and toddlers are also very successful.
We support a number of readers groups in our libraries including a teenage reading group, a Book Talk group for the visually impaired and a readers group for adults new to reading for pleasure.
