There are always imaginative book displays throughout the year reflecting local, regional and national themes.
We support major reading campaigns, which we know our readers appreciate, and respond to by borrowing and reserving the featured titles. Requests are free, so with the help of weekly updates on new additions on the library catalogue, and regular new book lists in the libraries, our readers can get the very best from their library service.
We currently have 14 adult and junior library-based readers' groups - all are flourishing, and both staff and members of the groups enjoy the lively discussions that sometimes ensue!
People who cannot access normal size print are also well-catered for in terms of a wide range of books in large print; books on tape and on CD.
There are now a number of Light Bites in each library for those yet to discover reading for pleasure and wish to develop their reading skills.
