News from library authorities:
RNIB National Library Service
Reading Sight is a new free website providing practical information and resources for library staff about all aspects of providing an accessible library service for people with sight loss. Many libraries are opening up their resources to blind and partially sighted readers but it can be difficult to find the practical information you need when it comes to finding books in braille, audio or large print, running reading groups and publicising what you offer. Reading Sight is led by RNIB and supported by Share the Vision and The Ulverscroft Foundation. Topics covered include reading materials, reading aids and assistive technologies, supporting readers, understanding sight loss, developing and marketing library services and staff training.
