News from library authorities:
Oldham

Oldham has organised quite a few events for National Year of Reading and have recently launched two new Readers groups at Oldham. In July we have poet Cheryl Martin taking two poetry workshops for Oldham Writers, which will be exploring verse and the construction of verse. The dates of the workshops are the 3rd July and the 17th July, she'll also be sharing some of her work at the library event too.

In August we have author Peter Robinson who will give a talk on his latest novel All The Colours Of Darkness from his popular series starring DCI Alan Banks. This talk will be on the 21st August at 6pm.
In September, all libraries will be having a 'Doctor in the House', we'll be hosting a series of surgeries for customers who are finding it difficult to find their perfect read. The 'Book Doctor' will be able to prescribe, listen and advise on what books could help your literary problem. Watch this space for the surgeries...Appointment Only.
