Working With Writers Toolkit
INTRODUCTION
This toolkit aims to share some of the experience gained in North West England by the Time To Read Reader Development network. In particular, experience developed through a project called Here & Now: the best North West writing in North West Libraries. It is intended that the toolkit shares some of the learning from the North West, with other library staff wanting to develop more contact with local writers
The Here & Now project promoted books about the contemporary NW region and supported activities which brought writers into libraries, to meet readers. Time To Read as a network now has contact with a large number of writers in the region and feels that this has strengthened our role in the literature networks of the region. Time To Read would like to help and encourage library staff in other regions to seek out their local writers and develop productive partnerships.
