Jo Bell

BIOGRAPHY
Cheshire Poet Laureate 2007. I’m a poet, narrowboater and professional archaeologist. Lively, innovative, willing to make a fool of myself in public. Living on my boat Cariad, based around Macclesfield but with forays out and around Cheshire and the Midlands.
WEBSITE
GENRE
Poetry, Performance Poetry.
PUBLICATIONS | PERFORMANCE HISTORY
Published in journals including Envoi, Raw Edge, Iota. Anthologised in Voiceprints (Flarestack). Short collection, the Shipwright’s Love Song (Bookcraft). Websites including Entheos. Performances at festivals including Cheltenham, Ledbury Poetry Festival, Swindon Festival of Literature and others. Planning a performance with all five Cheshire laureates so far, for autumn 2007. I believe that poetry readings should be more than just a person with a book, but less than Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
