Who we are

Time To Read is managed by a steering group which is currently comprised of the following members:

Neil MacInnes (Head of Service Manchester and President of the Society of Chief Librarians) 

Sarah Spence (Head of Service Salford)

Julie Spencer (Head of Service Bolton and Chair of SCL NW) 

Alison Boyle (Arts Council England representative)

Lesley Davis (Sefton representative from the Time To Read membership network)

The steering group meets quarterly to approve plans and budgets and provide direction for the co-ordinator. A  written report is submitted to SCL NW for each of their meetings.

North West Libraries

Librarians in the North West have pioneered partnership working to encourage new readers into libraries. Time To Read is a partnership of librarians engaged in reader development activity in public library authorities in the North West Region. 22 public library authorities in the region currently support Time To Read.
