Author events

Terms and conditions

1. Participants must be at least 16 years old to enter.

2. To enter the competition, you must be a resident of England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland

3. To enter the competition, you must also be a member of the of one of the 22 Time To Read partner library services: Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Cheshire West and Chester, Cumbria, Halton, Knowsley, Lancashire, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, St Helens, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington, Wigan or the Wirral.

4. The competition is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of any participating library service.

5. You are welcome to enter up to five times as you like as long as the books you have read are all different to eachother.

6. Entries must be submitted before Monday 1st July 2019.

7. The winners selected at random from all eligible entries.

8. If a chosen winner does not respond to correspondence within one week, a new winner will be selected.

9. Our decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

10. The prize will not be transferable to another person.

11. No part of the prize is exchangeable for any other prize.

12. The prize is run by Time To Read c/o Ellesmere Port Library, Civic Way, Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BG

13. Time To Read reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time.

14. The participating library services are Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Cheshire West and Chester, Cumbria, Halton, Knowsley, Lancashire, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, St Helens, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington, Wigan and the Wirral.

16. Entries must include the name, library card number and the relevant crossed out squares. No other squares should be marked.

17. The entrant's telephone number and/or email address on the library management system must be the correct one.

18. The books need to have been read during the period of the promotion. They can be from any source (library, bookshop etc) or be in any format (print, digital, audio etc).

19. By entering you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

North West Libraries

Librarians in the North West have pioneered partnership working to encourage new readers into libraries. Time To Read is a partnership of librarians engaged in reader development activity in public library authorities in the North West Region. 22 public library authorities in the region currently support Time To Read.
