#LovetoRead at Winsford Library

Library staff at Winsford Library got into the spirit of the BBC's #LovetoRead campaign by taking some fun selfies with props created by artists Emily&Anne to help customers celebrate their favorite books.

Librarians in the Time To Read network were asked by Emily&Anne what they thought their customers favorite books might be, and were asked to come up with a shortlist of 10 suggestions of characters, authors or books to be made into selfie props for customers to enjoy.

Suggestions included Sherlock Holmes, Winnie the Pooh, Lord of the Rings, Jane Austen, Treasure Island and The Hunger Games.

The selfie sessions are part of SCL’s support for the BBC’s ongoing Get Reading campaign - which aims to promote and encourage reading for pleasure. The BBC #LovetoRead weekend (November 5&6) will focus on social media - asking audiences to share their book recommendations via Twitter and Facebook. An allied campaign, launched the week before, will ask young people to share content on Snapchat, Tumblr and Instagram.

Please do visit your local library to find out more, grab yourself some props, take a selfie and remember to include #LovetoRead #Libraires. Enjoy!
