New authors announced for Rochdale Literature and Ideas Festival, plus 25% discount until end of August

Terry Waite CBE, Alan Johnson and Mandasue Heller join a line-up which also includes talk show legend Sir Michael Parkinson, comedian and novelist Jenny Eclair and Manchester poet Tony Walsh aka Longfella. See this article for more details.

2017-06-28-lit-festThe 7 day festival in October 2017 will include humanitarian and author Terry Waite CBE, former Home Secretary and MP Alan Johnson, along with one of the UK's best loved crime writers, Mandasue Heller.

This year there are nearly 40 events in 13 venues from 17 to 23 October 2017 during the festival organised by Rochdale Borough Council plus preview events from September 2017.

In addition, there is an early bird discount of 25% on all tickets purchased before 4pm on 31 August.

Librarians in the North West have pioneered partnership working to encourage new readers into libraries. Time To Read is a partnership of librarians engaged in reader development activity in public library authorities in the North West Region. 22 public library authorities in the region currently support Time To Read.
