  • This isn't a book I would have ordinarily chosen to read, but I heard Simon Mayo talking about it on Radio 2 so wanted to find out more.

I thought it was a well-crafted book, written in an engaging way that kept me intrigued. Although I could see some of the links between the women's lives, it wasn't completely obvious how it would all come together. I felt it had quite a cinematic quality, in that I could see the events unfolding in my mind as I read, which doesn't always happen - it definitely lends itself to being made into a film!

Anna Hope is visiting Wigan for the Words Festival in May so I look forward to speaking to her about it then.
