Local author Catherine Isaac began her career as a graduate trainee on the Liverpool Echo and was later appointed Editor of the Liverpool Daily Post. She wrote her first book, Bridesmaids, while on maternity leave and under the pseudonym Jane Costello. She's since written nine books, all Sunday Times bestseller. You, Me, Everything is her latest novel and first writing as Catherine Isaac. It's been translated into 21 languages and a movie is in development by Lionsgate.

Librarians in the North West have pioneered partnership working to encourage new readers into libraries. Time To Read is a partnership of librarians engaged in reader development activity in public library authorities in the North West Region. 22 public library authorities in the region currently support Time To Read.
