John Connolly

John ConnollyJohn Connolly was born in Dublin in 1968.  He  worked as a bartender, local government official and journalist before publishing his first novel, Every Dead Thing, in 1999.  He is the winner of a number of literary prizes for his work, including the Edgar, Shamus and Anthony awards, and a CWA Dagger.

On a lonely moor in the northeast of England, the body of a young woman is discovered near the site of a vanished church. In the south, a girl lies buried beneath a Saxon mound. To the southeast, the ruins of a priory hide a human skull. Each is a sacrifice, a summons. And something in the darkness has heard the call.
