Publications & Performance History

My current book is Joseph, 1917, a non-fiction book that looks at the work of the military service tribunals which sat during the Great War, and at the experience of one man in particular.

That man - the Joseph of the title - came from Thornton, on the Fylde coast.

My earlier books include a legal textbook, which went into a second edition and was nominated for a national award, and three collections of my articles and lectures.

Workshop & Reading Experience

Although I have done very few readings, I have considerable experience of lecturing and teaching
