Jude Lennon

Biography

Jude Lennon is a former Early Years teacher who now works as a Storyteller under the name Little Lamb Tales. She tells stories at Primary schools, community events, festivals and libraries. Jude is also an Amazon best selling children?s author and is the current Disney Winnie the Pooh Laureate for the North West. Jude published her first book, The Dragon of Allerton Oak in 2015. Although this story was set in her local park in Liverpool it has been purchased across the UK and as far afield as Australia and New Zealand. Since then, Jude has gone on to publish ten further books including a series of books about her storytelling mascot Lamby, a Mindfulness book for Children and her most recent book Hal and the End Street, an Awesome About Autism book written with Hal's Books. Jude has written two books for the Bobby Colleran Trust to support their Slow Down For Bobby road safety campaign. These books are called "Super Bob" and "S.T.O.P: SuperBob Tells Off Parents". A proud member of Team Author UK, Jude provides a range of courses and writing retreats including - 6 Week Creative Writing Course; Preparing for an author visit; Workshops at the Wrexham Writing group; Weekend writing retreats at Alkington Grange Barns. She feels that spreading the joy of books, words and stories is the best job in the world.

Workshop & Reading Experience

18 years teaching experience in the Primary Sector. Since starting my business four years ago I have run numerous courses for Team Author UK, The Carnival of Words Festival and Blend of Words festival. Each week I visit Primary schools across the North West delivering Slow Down For Bobby assemblies. To date I have spoken to over 50,000 children. I have delivered book readings and storytelling sessions for The Children's University, libraries, Maghull Literacy festival, Shropshire County Show, Southport Food and Drink Festival and I will be at the Southport Flower Show this summer. I spend lots of time delivering workshops to children in Primary schools all with excellent feedback which you can see on my website. I am a Learning Destination for the Children's University and an official Patron of Reading.

Librarians in the North West have pioneered partnership working to encourage new readers into libraries. Time To Read is a partnership of librarians engaged in reader development activity in public library authorities in the North West Region. 22 public library authorities in the region currently support Time To Read.
