Publications & Performance History
In 2006 Cath was recorded on the Oxfam Lifelines poetry CD alongside poets such as Carol Ann Duffy, Andrew Motion, etc. Widely published within poetry magazines. Former print and radio journalist.
Her pamphlet Tales of Boy Nancy (Driftwood, 2005) formed the text for a short film, and several peformance/ music events.
Her first full-length collection, My Glamorous Assistant (Headland) is out in 2007. This will be linked to a three city tour (Liverpool, Cardiff, New York), shared with poets Clare Potter and Aileen La Tourette.
Workshop & Reading Experience
Cath has worked with the National Maritime Museum and Lancaster Museum Services. In 2006 she was commissioned by Lancaster Litfest to compose work on Lancaster's links with the Slave Trade for BBC Radio Lancashire.
As the former co-coordinator of the Dead Good Poets Society, Cath has organized over 100 live poetry events promoting other poets. She has plenty of reading experience: on radio, with live audiences, and as a facilitator of events and workshops (writing, reading and training).
Cath also set up the Poetry Reading Groups at Liverpool Central and Bebington libraries, and is a strong advocate of reading - poetry, fiction and non-fiction.
